Antique faiselle

This is a traditional French faisselle cheese mold, made of earthenware with a glazed interior and an unglazed exterior. Material: Red-fired earthenware or terracotta. Function: Used for draining fresh cheese, such as faisselle. Design: Features holes on the sides and bottom to drain whey. Appearance: Often with characteristic signs of wear and a rustic appearance. It has some chips, but this is normal considering its age and was once a functional item. Beautiful with a candle inside or for your garlic cloves.
