Antique french tabouret

Antique stool or footstool in the Gustavian style (Swedish Neoclassicism from the late 18th century) or the closely related French Louis XVI style. Characteristic of this piece of furniture are the turned, fluted legs with rosette decorations at the top and a carved edge along the seat. The example pictured displays a significant patina with visible paint wear, which is typical of authentic antique pieces from this period. The silk on top is partially decayed and worn, which gives the footstool extra charm. You could replace it, but I personally love it just the way it is. Small size
