Majolica/ Barbotine pouring jug

An antique 19th-century French Orchies Old Majolica pig jug, often referred to as "Cochon au Jambon". Design: The jug is shaped like a pig wearing a laurel wreath and a red sash, and holding a ham. Material and Style: It is made of majolica earthenware with vibrant colors and a high-gloss finish. Maker: The piece was produced by the Orchies factory (Saint-Amand Hamage) in France, circa 1880.
