Green Dame Jeanne

An old green fermentation bottle, also known in France as a Dame Jeanne (or demijohn). Historically, this type of bottle was used for fermenting, storing, and transporting large quantities of wine or spirits. Nowadays, they are very popular as brocante or vintage decoration, for example as a large floor vase for dried flowers or green branches.
