Antique child corset

This beige garment is a historical corset or bodice, typically made of cotton or linen and reinforced with stays (boning). Such items were worn as undergarments in the 18th and 19th centuries to shape and support the upper body. It features a neck loop and long straps at the bottom that were crossed and tied around the waist or fastened to trousers to prevent shifting. It is small in size, so it was most likely a child's bodice. A rare piece.
