This is an antique French glass display case—or bridal dome—featuring an ornate brass frame and a deep-red, tufted velvet cushion inside. It contains a small wax bouquet accented with tiny bisque porcelain flowers. The side glass panels are missing, though this is easily remedied; the round glass dome itself is intact.
