Large glass witch ball

A large, beautiful hand-blown glass witch ball (or rose ball). The photo clearly shows the open neck (the pontil mark where the blowpipe was detached), featuring a hand-shaped glass hanging loop that was applied directly onto it while the glass was still molten. The characteristics of this specific neck reveal the following about your ball: Traditional craftsmanship: Unlike mass-produced items or modern Christmas baubles—where the neck is machine-finished with a metal cap and spring clip—this rough, thick glass rim and the integral blown-on loop are unmistakable signs of authentic hand craftsmanship. Color and texture: The glass is colored throughout (green glass), and the interior is completely hollow and open. Its subtle texture and patina indicate that the ball has a lovely age.
